मानपुर से सटे ग्राम नवगवा के कटहार गांव स्थित भरतपुर टोला में एक बार फिर बाघ का खौफनाक चेहरा सामने आया है। बघड़ो नाला के पास 72 वर्षीय रामलखन पटेल पर अचानक बाघ ने हमला कर दिया। बुजुर्ग के सिर सहित शरीर के कई हिस्सों में गहरे जख्म आए हैं। वे बुरी तरह घायल हो गए और घटना के बाद पूरे इलाके में दहशत फैल गई।

बताया जा रहा है कि घायल रामलखन पटेल का मकान घटनास्थल के बेहद पास ही स्थित है। वहीं नाले के दूसरी ओर उनका लगभग 10 एकड़ का खेत भी है। जंगल से सटे इस क्षेत्र में बाघ की लगातार आवाजाही अब ग्रामीणों के लिए रोजमर्रा की जिंदगी में बड़ा खतरा बन चुकी है। खेत जाना, नाले के पास जाना या घर से बाहर निकलना तक ग्रामीणों के लिए डर का कारण बन गया है।

यह सनसनीखेज घटना बांधवगढ़ टाइगर रिजर्व के मानपुर परिक्षेत्र की है, जहां पहले भी बाघ द्वारा इंसानों पर हमले की घटनाएं सामने आ चुकी हैं। इसके बावजूद वन विभाग की ओर से ठोस और प्रभावी सुरक्षा इंतजाम न किए जाने से ग्रामीणों में भारी नाराजगी है। लोगों का कहना है कि बीते कई दिनों से इलाके में बाघ के पदचिह्न साफ दिखाई दे रहे थे, जिससे उसकी मौजूदगी और मूवमेंट की जानकारी पहले से थी। बावजूद इसके न तो चेतावनी जारी की गई और न ही निगरानी बढ़ाई गई।

ग्रामीणों का आरोप है कि वन विभाग हर बार घटना के बाद सक्रिय होता है, लेकिन पहले से खतरे को भांपकर कोई ठोस कदम नहीं उठाता। जंगल से सटे गांवों में रहने वाले लोग आखिर कब तक अपनी जान जोखिम में डालकर जीवन यापन करेंगे, यह बड़ा सवाल बन गया है। इस संबंध में मानपुर रेंजर मुकेश अहिरवार ने बताया कि रामलखन पटेल शौच के लिए बाहर गए थे, तभी बाघ ने उन पर हमला कर दिया। वे गंभीर रूप से घायल हुए हैं और उनका इलाज मानपुर सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र में चल रहा है।
