मंडला पुलिस ने एक वृद्ध महिला की निर्मम हत्या के अंधे मामले का सनसनीखेज़ खुलासा करते हुए आरोपी पड़ोसी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। इस पूरे मामले में खेत में बंधे बैलों की ‘मूक गवाही’ पुलिस के लिए सबसे अहम कड़ी साबित हुई। पुलिस अधीक्षक रजत सकलेचा ने गुरुवार को प्रेसवार्ता में इस हत्याकांड का खुलासा किया।

यह मामला महाराजपुर थाना क्षेत्र का है। बीते 18 जनवरी को बंजाराटोला खुर्सीपार स्थित गिट्टी खदान के पानी से भरे गड्ढे में एक महिला का शव बरामद हुआ था। बाद में शव की पहचान ग्राम खोहरी निवासी हरौती बाई के रूप में की गई।

शुरुआती जांच में ही यह साफ हो गया था कि यह कोई हादसा नहीं बल्कि एक सुनियोजित हत्या है। महिला के शव के साथ पत्थर, बोरी, गमछा और लाठी बंधी हुई मिली थी, जिससे साक्ष्य छिपाने की कोशिश स्पष्ट नजर आ रही थी। मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए एसडीओपी पीयूष मिश्रा के नेतृत्व में विशेष जांच टीम गठित की गई।

जांच के दौरान पुलिस की नजर एक असामान्य तथ्य पर पड़ी। खेत में कुछ बैल लगातार दो दिनों से बंधे हुए थे। ग्रामीणों ने बताया कि बैलों का मालिक रोज़ शाम को उन्हें घर ले जाता था, लेकिन घटना के बाद से वह अचानक गायब था। यहीं से पुलिस का शक गहराया और बैलों के मालिक संदीप भलावी पर जांच केंद्रित की गई।

पूछताछ में सामने आया कि मृतिका और आरोपी के बीच जमीन विवाद और बैलों द्वारा फसल नुकसान को लेकर पहले से तनाव था। घटना से दो दिन पहले महिला ने फसल नुकसान को लेकर आरोपी को गालियां दी थीं, जिससे वह नाराज था। इतना ही नहीं, कई ग्रामीणों ने आरोपी को महिला को बाइक पर ले जाते हुए भी देखा था।

सख्ती से पूछताछ करने पर आरोपी ने अपना जुर्म कबूल कर लिया। आरोपी ने बताया कि 6 जनवरी को जब महिला अपने खेत में फसल की रखवाली करने आई थी, तब उसने डॉक्टर को दिखाने का झांसा देकर उसे बाइक पर बैठाया। आरोपी रास्ता बदलकर महिला को खेत की झोपड़ी में ले गया, जहां उसने पहले हाथ-मुक्कों से मारपीट की, फिर गला दबाकर हत्या कर दी।

हत्या के बाद आरोपी ने शव को झाड़ियों में छिपा दिया और घर चला गया। रात में वह दोबारा मौके पर पहुंचा और महिला की लाठी को उसी की साड़ी से शव के साथ बांधा, बोरी में पत्थर भरकर सिर और कमर में बांधे तथा शव को गिट्टी खदान के पानी में फेंक दिया।

पुलिस ने आरोपी संदीप भलावी को 4 फरवरी की देर रात गिरफ्तार किया और 5 फरवरी को न्यायालय के समक्ष पेश किया। मंडला पुलिस की इस कार्रवाई को अंधे कत्ल की गुत्थी सुलझाने में एक बड़ी सफलता माना जा रहा है, जहां मूक पशुओं की मौजूदगी ने सच को उजागर कर दिया।
