मंडला पुलिस ने इंश्योरेंस पॉलिसी की मैच्योरिटी के नाम पर लाखों की साइबर ठगी करने वाले गिरोह का पर्दाफाश करते हुए दो आरोपियों को नोएडा (उत्तर प्रदेश) से गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपियों ने एक महिला से करीब 10 लाख 95 हजार 840 रुपए की ठगी की थी।

पीड़िता प्रमिला तेकाम ने पुलिस को बताया कि उन्होंने वर्ष 2015 में मैक्स लाइफ इंश्योरेंस की एक पॉलिसी ली थी, जिसमें केवल पहली किस्त ही जमा हो पाई थी।

बीते 12 दिसंबर से उन्हें अनजान नंबरों से कॉल आने लगे। कॉल करने वालों ने खुद को इंश्योरेंस कंपनी का मैनेजर बताते हुए पॉलिसी दोबारा चालू कराने और मैच्योरिटी की बड़ी रकम दिलाने का झांसा दिया। आरोपियों ने भरोसे में लेकर महिला से अलग-अलग बैंक खातों में करीब 11 लाख रुपए ट्रांसफर करवा लिए।

मामले की शिकायत मिलते ही मंडला साइबर सेल ने तकनीकी साक्ष्यों और सीसीटीवी फुटेज के आधार पर आरोपियों की लोकेशन नोएडा में ट्रेस की। महाराजपुर थाना पुलिस ने नोएडा पुलिस के सहयोग से गौरव प्रजापति और सचिन वाल्मीकि को गिरफ्तार किया।

पुलिस पूछताछ में सामने आया कि आरोपी कमीशन के बदले बैंक खाते उपलब्ध कराने और ठगी की रकम निकालने का काम करते थे। पुलिस अधीक्षक रजत सकलेचा के अनुसार आरोपियों के खातों में करीब 60 लाख रुपए के संदिग्ध ट्रांजैक्शन पाए गए हैं, जिससे यह आशंका जताई जा रही है कि गिरोह ने अन्य जिलों में भी कई लोगों को ठगी का शिकार बनाया है। फिलहाल पुलिस गिरोह से जुड़े अन्य आरोपियों की तलाश में जुटी हुई है।
