दमोह जिले के तेजगढ़ थाना क्षेत्र में अफीम की बड़े पैमाने पर अवैध खेती का सनसनीखेज खुलासा हुआ है। इमलिया चौकी अंतर्गत सुहेला गांव के लुकाम मौजा में पुलिस ने करीब ढाई से 3 एकड़ जमीन पर तैयार खड़ी अफीम की फसल बरामद की है। इसकी कीमत करीब 1 करोड़ रुपए आंकी गई है। मौके पर खेत में पौधों पर फल और फूल लगे हुए थे, जिससे स्पष्ट है कि खेती व्यवस्थित तरीके से की जा रही थी।

मुखबिर से सूचना मिलने के बाद पुलिस टीम मौके पर पहुंची और खेतों की घेराबंदी कर तस्दीक की। इसके बाद मजदूरों की मदद से पूरी फसल को कटवाकर बोरियों में भरवाया गया। जब्त की गई फसल की मात्रा अधिक होने के कारण कार्रवाई लंबी चली और आगे भी समय लगने की संभावना जताई गई है।

प्रारंभिक जांच में सामने आया है कि यह अवैध खेती रामप्रसाद आदिवासी (22 वर्ष) और भगत सिंह आदिवासी के खेतों में की जा रही थी। पुलिस ने एक आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है, जबकि दूसरा आरोपी फरार है। उसकी तलाश में पुलिस लगातार दबिश दे रही है। मामले में एनडीपीएस एक्ट के तहत प्रकरण दर्ज कर विस्तृत जांच शुरू कर दी गई है। कार्रवाई के दौरान तेजगढ़ थाना प्रभारी अरविंद सिंह और इमलिया चौकी प्रभारी अक्षेंद्रनाथ पुलिस टीम के साथ मौके पर मौजूद रहे।

सूचना मिलने पर एसपी श्रुतकीर्ति सोमवंशी भी मौके पर पहुंचे। जिन्होंने बाइक से खेतों तक पहुंचकर जायजा लेकर फसल जब्त करने के निर्देश दिए। पुलिस अब इस एंगल से भी जांच कर रही है कि अवैध अफीम की यह खेती किस उद्देश्य से की जा रही थी और क्या इसके तार किसी बड़े तस्करी नेटवर्क से जुड़े हैं। इसकी जांच की जा रही है। कार्रवाई के बाद क्षेत्र में हड़कंप मचा हुआ है।
